Greetings!

Summer is upon us in the Valley, and I hope this finds all of you enjoying the season.

The current board for AWIT has experienced quite a few changes in recent months. Diana Larowe resigned as President due to health reasons, and I accepted the role of President to assist in this unexpected Board vacancy.

I am sorry to tell you that we are losing yet another Board member. Erin Boyd - a longtime presence - has resigned. She and her husband are returning to India to work, and we wish her great success. We will miss you! Kathy Baker will take over Erin’s Web duties.

Marci Welton and the Program Committee continue to work on various new events. The networking program for June at the Wrigley Mansion is a first for us, and I think it is a very stylish way to bring AWIT members together.

In July, we will be meeting at Manuel’s on 7th Street and Missouri. Debbie Christofferson - an AWIT member - has offered to speak on Global Internet Security. We will be co-hosting the event with Alliance of Technology and Women. http://www.atwinternational.org

Events for the fall of the year are in the planning stages. A program featuring the Canadian Trade Council and a tour of the Irish Cultural Center are examples of what is yet to come.
